1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website (the "Website") and any services provided by Statutory Scaffold Inspections Ltd ("we", "us", "our", "the Company"). By accessing this Website or engaging our services, you ("you", "the Client") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or engage our services.

2. Our Services
We provide scaffold inspection services, including statutory scaffold inspections under the Work at Height Regulations 2005 (Schedule 7), inspection reporting, and related advisory services. Specific services form part of a separate engagement, quotation, or purchase order between us and the Client, and these Terms apply in addition to those documents.

3. Website Use
Content on this Website is for general information only and does not constitute professional advice. It is not a substitute for a formal, site-specific inspection.

You must not misuse the Website — including introducing viruses, attempting unauthorised access, or any activity that could damage or impair it.

We may restrict or terminate access to the Website at our discretion, without notice.

4. Bookings & Quotations
Enquiries made via the Website are not a binding contract. A contract forms only when we issue written confirmation of a booking or accept a quotation/purchase order.

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.

We may decline any booking at our discretion, including where site access, safety conditions, or scope cannot be confirmed.

5. Fees & Payment
Fees are set out in our quotation or agreement. All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

Invoices are payable within 15 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, and to suspend further services until outstanding invoices are settled.

Cancelling a booked inspection with less than [insert, e.g. 24 hours'] notice may incur a cancellation charge of 50%.

6. Site Access & Client Duties
The Client is responsible for ensuring safe, timely site access and for providing accurate information on site conditions, hazards, and relevant documentation (e.g. drawings, prior reports).

Where access cannot be provided or is unsafe on the scheduled day, we may charge an aborted-visit fee and reschedule at the Client's cost.

The Client remains responsible at all times for compliance with applicable health and safety legislation, including remedial action following inspection findings. Our role is limited to inspection and reporting; we do not carry out remedial works unless separately agreed in writing.

7. Reports & Liability
Inspection reports reflect the condition of the structure at the time and date of inspection only. We accept no responsibility for changes occurring afterwards.

Reports are for the exclusive use of the Client (and, where applicable, the named principal contractor) and should not be relied upon by third parties without our written consent.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from our services shall not exceed the fees paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits or business interruption.

8. Insurance
We maintain professional indemnity and public liability insurance appropriate to the services provided. Details are available on request.

9. Intellectual Property
All Website content, including text, logos, and graphics, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by copyright and other IP laws.

Inspection reports remain our intellectual property until payment in full is received, at which point a licence to use the report for its intended purpose is granted to the Client.

10. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is collected, used, and stored.

11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including adverse weather, site closures, or restricted access.

12. Termination
Either party may terminate an ongoing service agreement by giving 24 hours written notice, without prejudice to fees accrued or work completed up to the termination date.

13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Website at the time of your use or engagement applies.
